The International Business School (IBS) is one of the most vigorous schools in Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Its mission is to offer students a highly enriching and rewarding multi-disciplinary learning experience with its excellent business courses and the best English language teaching in China, and thus help ensure their success as future managers and executives in the global economy. IBS’s economics and management courses have been included by the Ministry of Education in the nation-wide 211 Project, which aims to support the one hundred most prestigious universities in China.

For English-taught programs, IBS offers bachelor and master degree programs. The bachelor degree is a 4-year program that offers students a choice of four majors: International Finance, International Marketing, International Business and Chinese Business Studies. The master degree is a 2-year program majors in Chinese Business and International Relations, Management Science.

As Chinese-taught degree programs, seven undergraduate majors are available at IBS, namely: International Economics and Trade, Finance, Business Administration, E-Commerce, Information Management and System, Accounting and International Business. Two postgraduate programs in Management Science and International Economics and Relations are also offered at the school.

Beijing Foreign Studies University

Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is one of the most prestigious Chinese universities and a key university directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the People’s Republic of China. Founded in 1941, BFSU is the top institution specializing in foreign languages and international studies in China and it has the longest history compared to universities of its kind in China. A wide range of degrees, diplomas and disciplines are offered to meet students’ needs, with the largest number of foreign language programs in China. Excellent teaching resources and achievements in foreign studies and research have greatly strengthened BFSU’s programs’ competitiveness, both at home and abroad.

As one of the first academic institutions in China authorized by the MOE to offer Master and Doctoral degrees, BFSU has a highly-qualified, experienced and hard-working team of more than 600 faculty and staff members, among whom 330 are either professors or associate professors. Among the more than 7,000 registered BFSU students, there are approximately 1,000 international students.
