Introduction

Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business(CKGSB) MBA curriculum provides students with a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of business theory and practice, while also addressing the cultural and ethical perspectives relevant to doing business in Asia. The program aims to equip graduates with the analytical ability and confidence to face the uncertainties characteristic of real-world situations, deal with complex business issues systematically and creatively, and make sound judgments in the absence of complete data. To complement academic coursework, Diversified Consulting Projects (DCP) offer students experience working with major international companies, analyzing business strategic questions and honing their marketing and presentation skills. Inbound and outbound exchange programs help CKGSB students develop global perspective and the ability to perform in cross-cultural work environments.

CKGSB MBA Curriculum The CKGSB academic year begins in late fall and consists of four terms, with eight consecutive modules. Each term is comprised of two modules, and each term is followed by a short break. The first four modules cover required business fundamentals (economics, finance/investment, marketing, strategy, management, and operations), and form the core curriculum. Module 5 through 7 provides a wide range of business electives, allowing students to pursue their particular career development needs. Module 8 (China module) in October includes an intensive 3-week selection of elective seminars covering business topics in China. The electives all touch upon relevant business ideas in China, and include courses such as Confucian Humanism, which instills an understanding of the ethical context for China business.

Scholarships

Through generous funding from the Li Ka-shing Foundation,CKGSB MBA scholarships aim to attract individuals of exceptional ability and talent in China and around the world. The goal of these scholarships is to help meet the financial needs related to the educational well-being and personal development of all eligible MBA applicants. All scholarships are granted on a non-cash basis. Below are the three scholarship options available for MBA applicants. The applicant may choose one of the following options or a combination of all three:

-CKGSB Early Admissions Scholarship for International Students
CKGSB realizes the financial burdens an MBA education may create for some international students. In an effort to help these students,and with sufficient funding from the Li Ka-shing Foundation, CKGSB will award those international students who apply during the Early Round with a special Early Admissions Scholarship. -Merit Based CKGSB Scholarships:
First Category Scholarships : RMB 338,000 5 awardees
Second Category Scholarships : RMB 180,000 10 awardees
Third Category Scholarships : RMB 90,000 15 awardees
Social Responsibility and the Green Future Scholarships: From RMB 20,000 to RMB 80,000 Student Bank Loans are available only to mainland Chinese students.
Once an applicant's scholarship package is finalized, the designated amount will automatically be deducted from their tuition prior to the start of the academic year.

-Social Responsibility and the Green Future Scholarships: This scholarship is to recognize students have demonstrated a commitment to the environment and ethical business leadership. The scholarship is awarded in amounts From RMB 20,000 to RMB 80,000
