Introduction

Huazhong University of Science and Technology MBBS program is provided by Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was first founded in 1907. Before merging with HUST, it was a key medical university and directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Health. The comprehensive strength in teaching and research ranks the top of China’s medical university. 5 Tri-A hospitals totally with 5400 beds are attached to Tongji Medical College, among which both Tongji Affiliated Hospital and Union Affiliated Hospital are top-ranking hospitals in China. Huazhong University of Science and Technology MBBS program is composed of 6 years and goes through 5 periods:

1st year: pre-medical study with English instruction
2nd year: theory study with English instruction
3rd -4th year: basic and clinical medicine study with bilingual instruction in English and Chinese
5th year: clinical medicine study and practice with Chinese instruction
6th year: internship in hospital with Chinese instruction

Huazhong University of Science and Technology

Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a national key university directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education of P. R. China, and is among the first Universities joining the national “211 Project” and “985 Project”. It was founded on May 26, 2000 as a result of the merger of the former Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji Medical University and Wuhan Urban Construction Institute.

At present, the University has eleven disciplines: engineering, medicine, management, science, philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history and agriculture, offering a variety of degree programs, including 86 undergraduate programs, 303 graduate programs, 237 PhD programs. There are 31 post-doctoral research centers, 7 national key disciplines, 15 national key subdisciplines.

Admission Requirements

Finished high school studies, aged under 30 and healthy.
With an average score of 75% and above or B- and above in Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
