Introduction
Soochow University MBBS program started to enroll international students in the English-taught undergraduate program of medicine in 2004. The MBBS program aims to educate international medical talents with solid medical knowledge, standard clinical skills and good professionalism while giving due consideration to the possible needs for them to serve in their motherland or other countries.
The students will acquire the capacity to work in medical and health departments, making contributions to the areas of patient care, education and research. Soochow University MBBS program is completely taught in English and follows the principle of consolidating academic basis, stressing technical skills, enhancing interdisciplinary and conducting ability.

Medical College of Soochow University
Medical College of Soochow University (MCSU), a merger of the former School of Life Sciences, School of Radiation Medicine & Public Health, School of Pharmacy and all faculties of the former School of Medicine, was established on January 21, 2008. MCSU is in charge of the student cultivation, career guidance, scientific research, development and construction of disciplines and the related personnel, the social services and the routinely maintaining in medical and Life Sciences.
MCSU has Administration Office, Teaching Affairs Office (for Undergraduates, International Students and Adult Learning Program Students), Student Affairs Office (for Undergraduates, Graduate Students International Students and Adult Learning Program Students ), Scientific Research Office, Graduate Student Office and Development Office.
Medical College of Soochow University consists of nine schools and two affiliated centers. They are School of Basic Medical and Biological Sciences, School of Radiation Medicine & Public Health, School of Pharmacy, Nursing School, the First School of Clinical Medicine, the Second School of Clinical Medicine, the third School of Clinical Medicine, the fourth School of Clinical Medicine and the Pediatrics School of Clinical Medicine, the Experiment Center and the Laboratory Animal Center. Additionally, there are 13 affiliated hospitals and 63 hospitals with associated teaching programs, 10 preventative medicine intern bases, 10 forensic medicine intern bases, 10 pharmacy intern bases and 18 off-campus intern bases in MCSU for its biomedical teaching and research. It now has an enrollment of more than 2280 Graduate students, 4700 undergraduates and 750 international students in MCSU.
MCSU hosts 3 post-doctoral research stations, 1 first-level discipline authorized to confer doctoral degrees of Basic Medicine, 1 first-level discipline authorized to confer professional doctoral programs of Clinical Medicine, 36 doctoral programs and 75 master programs. It hosts 13 undergraduate programs, including Medicine, Pharmacy and Life Sciences. Clinical Medicine is a Brand Specialty in Jiangsu Province, Radiation Medicine, Biotechnology and Nursing are all Characteristic Specialties in Jiangsu Province.

Students are enrolled on the basis of their academic performance in senior high school.
The average score of examinations in high school was more than 70%.
