Introduction

Medical College of Zhengzhou University is former Henan Medical University. The college now has 7 faculties (such as clinical medicine, public health, pediatric medicine, pharmacology, stomatological medicine, medical tests and higher nursing) and 5 affiliated hospitals. Now the college has a staff of more than 1300 experts, professors and teachers, more than 4200 students and 210 foreign students, 15 doctor tutors and more than 200 postgraduate tutors. Now Medical College of Zhengzhou University is an influenced institution of high level on teaching, scientific research and medical care in the world.

The precursor of Basic Medical College of Zhengzhou University is a foundational medical college of original Henan Medical University. It was founded in 1928, and possesses the very highly good reputation in the world. The university has 3 Ph.D. degree programs of specialties, 23 M.A degree programs of Specialties, and 2 postdoctoral medical research stations.


College of Basic Science of Medicine comprises 13 Departments, 1 Experiment Teaching Center and 14 Institutes. Multiple academic fields of study in the school involved Pathology/Pathophysiology, Anatomy/Histology and Embryology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Human Parasitology, Medical Microbiology, Neurobiology, Pharmacology and they are offered in undergraduate and post-graduate programs. Within these disciplines, 6 Doctoral degree programs, 11 Master's degree programs, as well as 1 post-doctoral research stations, 6 Province Class key academic fields and 8 Province Class outstanding courses. College of Basic Science of Medicine now has 1.64 thousand undergraduate students; 300 post-graduates, and more than 200 foreign students. It has a well-educated faculty and teaching staff of 137 teachers. Among them are 28 professors, 39 associate professors; 12 of them tutor Doctor's degree students and 46 tutor Master's degree students.

Clinical Medicine Department has a long history and great prestige. It has been developing a stronger and larger department over 80 years. It has 5 large comprehensive affiliated hospitals as well as 16 large comprehensive hospitals as teaching bases for clinical medicine. Currently, it has a workforce of 3045 teachers and doctors, including 2 academicians , 19 professors especially engaged by Henan provincial government, 48 visiting professors, 44 doctoral supervisors, 269 master mentors, 227 professors and 372 associate professors. There are 150 teachers with doctor’s degree and 397 teachers with master’s degree among the staffs. All these have formed a rational subject structure. In recent 3 years, the various subjects of Clinical Medicine Department have been supported by several funds accounting for 88.624 million (RMB). Clinical Medicine Department also assumes 350 scientific research items, and has acquired 260 prizes of scientific progress at various grades for recent five years and published 750 theses each year. Clinical Medicine Department convenes 25 academic conferences annually and has established relationship with 10 countries in medicine, teaching and research, which offers better opportunities and environment for medical education.

Admission Requirements

Finished high school studies, aged 18 to 22 and healthy.
IELTS score reaches 6.0 or TOEFL score reaches 82 (or equivalence).
