According to the student’s Chinese proficiency, Chinese language program at Ningbo University of Technology is divided in three levels - basic, intermediate and advanced. Each of which has 20 periods per week. In addition, there are extracurricular activities such as field trips, excursions, seminars, and some social activities with Chinese students.

Elementary Chinese program is designed to teach the basics of the Chinese language (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and help students pass the HSK. Main courses: Basic Chinese, Chinese Reading Comprehension, Chinese Listening Comprehension, Basic Chinese Grammar, Chinese Conversation, Selected Readings in Newspapers and Periodicals, Chinese Handwriting Practice, Basic Chinese Writing, etc. Optional courses are also offered on Chinese culture (such as History, Geography, Chinese Calligraphy, Literature, Arts, Religion, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Martial Arts and Chinese Cuisine) and Chinese Economics (such as Economic Reform, Economic Policy and Investment Environment, etc.)

Chinese Language Program Duration:
Fall Semester: September 15 to January 15
Spring Semester: March 15 to July 15

Tuition:
RMB 6,000 for one semester
RMB 11,000 for one year (two semesters)

Short-term study:
RMB 600 for one week
RMB 500 for each extra week

Accommodation:
Single room with air-conditioner, private bathroom, telephone: RMB 1800 per month.
Three-person room with air-conditioner, private bathroom, telephone: RMB 600 per month

The above tuition and accommodation fee do not cover meals, books, other teaching materials, medical treatment, insurance and traveling.
